
In this section we provide information for international students wishing to join a Bachelor's programme at one of our universities. Applicants from outside Germany and / or with non-German qualifications must satisfy a number of academic and administrative prerequisites before they can be admitted. These prerequisites vary according to your status.

University entry qualifications
1. Applicants with German citizenship and university entry qualifications from abroad
must have their certificate validated and their average grade assessed. The following authorities are responsible for the assessment and validation of foreign qualifications:
2. Applicants with foreign citizenship and non-German school-leaving qualifications
must prove, before applying to the universities, that these are equivalent to German university entry qualifications. In order to get your qualifications approved, please contact the "Ausländerstudienkolleg" (ASK) in Constance.
The ASK examines your foreign school leaving certificate and decides
The ASK does NOT allocate study places. Applicants merely receive a certificate (Bescheinigung) with which they can apply to study at a university in Baden-Württemberg.

must first contact the APS (Akademische Prüfstelle, Academic Evaluation Centre) at the German Embassies before beginning their application procedure. The ASK in Constance cannot process these applications without this APS-Certificate. Further information for:
German language requirements
Because most of the degree programmes are taught primarily in German, degree-seeking students must provide evidence of proficiency in German, by means of EITHER
Minimum requirements are 14 points for TestDaF or Level 2 for DSH.
You may be exempted from the DSH or TestDaF under the following conditions: Click here
Please note: our universities do not offer preparatory courses for the TestDaF or DSH. The exams cannot be taken there, but have to be completed elsewhere.
Applying for a Bachelor's programme
If you wish to apply to study for a Bachelor's degree at our universities, please fill out an application form for admission (Antrag auf Zulassung), which is available as a download on the respective university’s homepage.
Generally all applications must be handed in by July 15th for the winter semester semester and January 15th for the summer semester. There are, however, special deadlines for certain bachelor programmes.
Applications which are submitted after the deadline, or which are incomplete, will not be considered.
